We’ve decided to start a blog as a way for you all to get to know more about Aaron Shames, founder, dev, and CEO of The PegHub Ecosystem, along with contributions from other team members. We’ll be discussing all things crypto, views on market trends, discussing groundbreaking projects, and much more. Of course, we’ll also feature all things PegHub, bitBOMB, and CZPegs!
To start, let’s take a moment to get to know me, Aaron Shames, and why I’m so passionate about DeFi and wanting to help everyone take part in this emerging and life-changing opportunity.
I started out working in the telecom industry where I encountered many unmet demands within the industry and my entrepreneurial instincts immediately kicked in. I quickly launched my own VoIP company as a result, which saw great success.
That’s about the same time I became enamoured with everything cryptocurrency and blockchain! I spent years investing from the sidelines, accumulating and hodling all the top cryptos before deciding to put my years of programming, developing and entrepreneurial enthusiasm to use in the up-and-coming world of decentralized finance (DeFi).
When I first came across Tomb Finance, I was fascinated with the possibilities it presented and couldn’t believe that nobody else had done something similar with a more popular coin on a more accessible blockchain. That’s when I decided to create Bomb.Money, the first fork of Tomb Finance, on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) with a token algorithmically pegged to the value of Bitcoin (BTC) at a 10,000 to 1 ratio. The advantages of using Bitcoin, the most well-known and stable crypto of all time, proved immediately beneficial as Bomb.Money exploded on to the scene and it was subsequently forked itself thousands of times by people trying to piggy back on our success. Imitation is of course the highest form of flattery, so we knew we had something good.
The interesting thing about DeFi is that everything is publicly available and easily forkable. This is actually a huge advantage as I spent a lot of time observing all of the Bomb forks to see what worked and what didn’t. As a result, I subsequently created CZPegs and also migrated Bomb to a much improved bitBOMB – together, these two protocols now offer the best place in all of crypto to stake BTC, ADA, ATOM, DOT, BNB, and BUSD while earning stable, high yields that are only possible through the power of DeFi.
The next step was to bring everything together so that investors have one central place to come to for all their DeFi needs. Enter PegHub. I truly believe this is the future of DeFi and it’s going to make all of our protocols, a.k.a. The PegHub Ecosystem, successful without a doubt! I’ll be speaking a lot more about PegHub and why this new innovation will not only see its PHUB token moon, but why the entire Ecosystem will be successful as a result.
As some of you know, we know have over 20 crypto experts and enthusiasts to help run The PegHub Ecosystem. One of the most important things I realized early on was that in the often sketchy world of decentralized finance, trust is at a premium. That’s why from day one I decided to fully dox myself and conduct bi-weekly live AMA’s to answer any and all questions and get to know the incredible community and investors. As a result, bitBOMB has quickly become one of the most trusted and successful ecosystems in all of decentralized finance. We continue to innovate by adding more and more applications and uses for our tokens, while adding complementing protocols and plans to launch on multiple other chains – all designed with an investor-first mentality and a focus on maintaining consistent high yield payouts.
